Welcome to my mountain bike crossings through the Alps and Lesotho! In late summer 2021, I embarked on an unforgettable journey from Holzkirchen, Bavaria, to Riva del Garda via the Dolomites. What started as a daring ride quickly became a passion! My route was inspired by Uli Preunkert, Anke Hoffmann, and Thoralf Noack’s guidebooks Tegernsee – Gardasee and Zillertal – Gardasee.

In 2023, I took on another thrilling adventure, this time crossing Switzerland from Andermatt to Zermatt, passing through Grindelwald. Following the path of the Glacier Express, I relied solely on public transport to reach my starting point and return home. Andreas Albrecht’s Glacier Express inspired this route.

Looking ahead to 2025, I’m preparing for an exciting new challenge: A Mountain Bike Crossing of Lesotho. The planning is in full swing, thanks to invaluable resources from those who’ve gone before me, like Logan Watts’ The Lesotho Traverse Bikepacking Route and The Bicycling Family’s La Grande Traversée du Lesotho.
